Day 4 Clifton Hill Amusements

Clifton Hill is the street where all the amusements are. The Wax Museums, the Horror Houses, Guiness Book of World Records, Ripley's Believe It Or Not and on and on. There are so many places to see and visit. Gerry and I decided on The Movieland Wax Museum of Stars and The Guiness Book of World Records Museum. Honestly, it would take a few days to visit everything! Below is a view of Clifton Street coming up from the Falls.

The first place we visited was Movieland and it was really cool! We were able to take our pictures with the Obamas, Forrest Gump and the Simpsons! A camera is a must when visiting these museums.

When I got to this area I knew I had to take a picture for Nat. Twilight in it's glory in wax!

Here's Marilyn Munroe. And her dress did actually blow upwards! It was so cute!

Now on we went to the Guiness World Records Museum!

Here I am beside a statue of the world smallest living adult female. She is 24 inches tall and weights 22 pounds!

Outside of the building was a chair which had belonged to Robert Wadlow, the world's tallest man. Gerry and I look like little kids beside him. Believe me, this was so much fun!

Here's Gerry who is 6 feet tall beside a statue of Robert Wadlow. Wow, isn't that amazing?

After visiting those two museums, we decided to go down to the Falls to visit one last time before coming home. We went to the park along the Falls. Such a gorgeous park and so well maintained.

The birds in Niagara Falls are so tame. They will eat right out of your hand. They're not at all afraid of Gerry

On the way back up Clifton Hill, Gerry asked me if I wanted to go on the Sky Wheel! Oh my goodness!!! That Wheel is 155 feet up off the ground at the highest point! I am afraid of heights and the only reason why I went was because I would be up there with Gerry and I knew he would keep me safe. It was a beautiful experience and I'm so glad that we were able to share it together. I love you so much Gerry!

On the way back to our hotel, we passed by Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum and there was this wax guy with bulging eyes sitting on a bench on display for people to have their photos taken with him. I thought it would be fun to make his eyes bulge from a kiss.....lol

Day 3 Gerry's Birthday!

Tuesday was Gerry's 55th birthday! Here he is up and ready to start the day! We went to our favorite breakfast place here in Niagara Falls called Scoops. Gerry ordered steak and eggs as his birthday breakfast.

We went shopping after breakfast at the Outlet Mall. We got some great deals! Gerry got some new Tommy Hilfiger workout shorts. I found a new winter leather jacket at Danier Leather and some Reebok running shoes and some cute little outfits from La Vie En Rose. I took such a long time shopping but Gerry was very patient...believe me, he is very patient. When we got back to our room, this is what we saw on our bed. Our housekeeper had made swans with our towels and placed them on our bed. Isn't that so so cute? :-)

Gerry had a little rest while I blogged and then I suggested that we go to the Skylon Tower for his birthday supper. We took an glass elevator to the top of the tower and ate at the Summit Buffet Restaurant which is 775 feet above the Falls. It was spectacular and the food was awesome!

We made reservations for 6:30pm and when we got there, we were happy to see that we had a window table and this is the first thing that we saw....a full view of the Canadian horseshoe falls....wow!

And also the American Falls along with the Bridal Veil Falls next to them. What a beautiful sight!

Our waitress took our picture with the falls behind us. What an experience! Being 775 feet up in the air is awesome!

The restaurant was so nice and the buffet was delicious!

Here`s the gorgeous 55 year old birthday boy!

After our meal, we went up to the Observation Deck above the restaurant.

Here is the Courtyard Marriot, our hotel, from the Observation Deck. We can even see our car. :-)

This is the Sky Wheel which we can see from our hotel balcony, seen from the Observation Deck.

Day 2 Marineland!

On Monday, we went to Marineland! We loved it! So many nice things to do and see! While we were waiting for the Marine Show featuring dolphins, walruses and sea lions, I went on a few rides. Gerry didn't want to get nauseous so he gladly took the pictures while I enjoyed myself...lol

A dolphin wanted to play with Gerry and splashed him!

We saw the Marine Show at 1:00. It was fantastic!

Here we are at Friendship Cove and a giant Orca Killer Whale was doing his tricks in the background!

We went to the Deer Park. It was full of deers and people were feeding them. They were very tame.

Day 1 in Niagara Falls!

We made it to Niagara Falls last night. We left Ottawa at 10:30 am and got here at 5:20 pm. It was a long drive but it passed quickly. We had a good time listening to cd's and then playing some driving games. We used our GPS to get there and everything went well except for the fact that it kept wanting us to take the shortest route and that would mean having to pass on the American side and we didn't have our passports.

We went for a walk last night to familiarize ourselves with the sites around our hotel. Here is Gerry in front of the Canadian horseshoe falls. After we had seen the falls we wanted to go back to the hotel. We're staying at the Courtyard Marriot. Gerry asked a guard where it was and he gave us the directions for the Marriot hotel. So we ended up going to the wrong hotel and were lost....lol

Our room has a balcony and this is the view from the balcony. It's beautiful!

We have the Presidential Suite, complete with jacuzzi and fireplace...very romantic!

And to top off our day, we had fireworks just outside our room in the park below. Fantastic!

A Visit From Martin

Martin came over for a visit today after work. We had a nice supper together and had a good time talking. It's always a special time for me when Martin comes over. Looking forward to the next time. Love you sonny!
