Laurent's Birthday Party!

Yesterday, Gerry and I went to Laurent's birthday party out in Chelsea. What a beautiful home out in the country! I loved getting a tour of the grounds and seeing the cabin that Laurent built up on a hill that is attached to two trees. He is so talented and so thoughtful to do that for the children. We had a wonderful meal prepared by Denise. She put so much effort into everything and the food was so delicious! Denise and Haley did an awesome job on the decorations! Happy birthday Laurent! x/o

A Date by the River

This past Friday, Gerry and I decided to go down to the river by Blair Road. We had a beautiful date, sitting by the water on a picnic table and looking at boats and people and talking and laughing.

There was a beautiful piece of driftwood along the side of the sandy beach. The water was so clean and clear, but still a bit cool.



Here's Gerry fooling around and making me laugh. He said that I could post this on my blog as proof of how much he loves me....lol



As we were leaving, I saw 2 ducks on the side of the road. I quickly said STOP! and got out of the car to take a picture. Aren't they cute?



After we went to the car wash so that the RAV 4 would be all clean to go to Laurent and Denise's place the next day!



Topped everything all off with popsicles! It was a beautiful date! I love you Gerry! x/o

Victoria Day at Petrie Island

What a nice afternoon we had at Petrie Island yesterday! The weather was gorgeous, but very warm. We were on the west end of the Island where there are lots of trees and we had a beautiful breeze.



There were quite a few people swimming. I tried the water but found it too cold.



Just before we left, Gerry took this picture of me on the rocks just beside where we had been sitting all afternoon. Next time, we're going to bring the BBQ with us and stay longer. We tried the new BBQ on Saturday over at Jasmine Park. It was great...lovely dinner of t-bone steaks and potatoes in foil. I forgot to bring the camera though...lol

Good Morning!

Every morning when I wake up, this is what I see....happy, colorful flowers smiling down on me as I lay in my bed. It starts my day off with a smile and a reminder of the person who made them for me. Thanks Nat! I love you!

My Garden Plot!

I applied to the City of Ottawa to have a plot in the garden located next door to my condominium building. I got plot number 8 and yesterday, I planted my garden. I really enjoyed that!



This is a picture of the whole garden. And below is a picture of my plot before planting. It measures approximately 10 feet by 16 feet. There are 11 plots in all and a 12th just for flowers.

A new Barbecue!

Last night we got a new portable barbeque! It took us at least 3 hours to assemble a project which the assembly manual said took 30 minutes....lol, but it was well worth it!



It folds right up and we can carry it along on it's wheels. How cool is that?! :-)



The cooking surface is 330 square inches. Just as big as a regular barbeque!



We're looking forward to picnics at the beach now! Mmmmmmm....I can taste those t-bone steaks and hambugers already!

A moment to be cherished forever!

Yesterday, I thought I was invited for a bbq at my friend Line's house, but when I got to the front door everyone yelled out "Surprise!" Was I ever surprised...wasn't expecting it at all! I was so touched and happy. I still am :-) They put a princess tiara on my head. I just love it so much! Because I am a princess...all girls are Lol Thank you to all of you who planned this for me!


Just look at that feast! So much planning went into this. I appreciate it so much!

Friday afternoon lunch at Moxies with J-C and Micheline!

This past Friday, I had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with J-C and Micheline. We had a wonderful lunch at Moxies and then they came over to visit the condo.

Gadgets

I've just recently rediscovered my love for Paint Shop Pro and creating tags (gadgets in here). I've added my latest gadget creation to the side of my page and I'm proud of it. Will be making more soon. :-)
