Petawawa visit with Jenn and boys

Today we went to Petawawa to visit Gerry's daughter Jenn and her two boys, Cole 10 and Gavin 7. It was a beautiful visit. We enjoyed seeing them all again.

This is Cole with his hampster. Cole was particularly attentive to us and made us feel right at home. Thanks Cole...you're a sweetie!

Here are the boys hamming it up with their Grandpa. Anyone could tell that they were excited to be with him. Such beautiful boys.

Now, this is Gavin and he just had his birthday on August 5th and turned 7 years old. He showed us his wallet filled with money from his birthday. I think he's richer than his grandpa! Gavin showed his Grandpa how to shoot a huge target gun. It was fun!

We took the boys to McDonald's for a treat. Don't know if it filled them up enough. They have quite the appetites....growing boys! Gavin ate all his food because he wanted to make Grandpa happy.

Below is a group hug shot just before we left...I think someone got squished....lol Poor Gavin!

Friday Dinner Party!

I had a dinner party on Friday night and invited my friends Monika and Nora over. Monika will be leaving in a week to go to London, England to be with her boyfriend Pete and I will surely miss her. She helped me so much when I was decorating for the wedding and also in the clean up after. She also watered my garden when I went to Niagara Falls. She's a wonderful friend. Here she is with Nora.

A picture of the three of us....Monika, Nora and me. It was a wonderful evening. I'm so glad to have such good friends.

Martin's 35th Birthday!

Tuesday, August 17th was Martin's 35th birthday. Here's the Birthday Boy!

Martin and Crystal came over to our condo for supper. Here he is holding his gift from Gerry and me.

Here are two pictures of Crystal who is now 5 months pregnant with Aiden.

Crystal made a yummy chocolate cake for Martin. It was a surprise. She didn't want him to know, so she carried it all the way on the bus. It was pretty heavy.

Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Martin, happy birthday to you! :-)

Weekend at Petrie Island

It was very warm this weekend and Ger and I decided to go to Petrie Island. We had this beautiful spot right near the water and we sat in our chairs in the shade with a nice breeze coming in from the water. What a way to spend a hot muggy day :-)

On Saturday, we brought along our barbeque and Gerry cooked us up some hot dogs and hamburgers and then some t-bone steaks. Wow, my stomach wasn't big enough for all that food...lol But we usually cook for the week on Sundays, so now we have plenty of food for Gerry's lunches. Gerry is a great barbequer! Thanks handsome!

The water was warm and we went in often to wet our feet and legs. Such a beautiful weekend!

Here are the toes of two lovers x/o I love you Gerry!

Saturday Lunch at Robbie's!

This past Saturday, Gerry and I went out for lunch at Robbie's with his sister Shirley and her husband Jacques. We don't see them often because they work weekends in a hospital. I ordered Robbie's Special and it's the best spaghetti I've ever had in a restaurant. Lots of sauce, green peppers, mushrooms, pepperoni, and meatballs....mmmmmmmmmm! Gerry had the combination plate which consists of spaghetti, lasagna and veal parmiagian. The food was excellent and we had a wonderful time. Afterwards, they came over to the condo and spent some more time with us. What a beautiful afternoon!

Shirley is Gerry's real sister whom he was separated from at the age of 3 years old when she was given up for adoption at the age of 2 and he was taken in by his grandfather. They found each other again through research by his half sister. They've been reunited for about 10 years.

Michael's Graduation!

Today I went to Greater Gatineau School, St. Aloysius Campus, to attend my grandson Michael's Graduation Ceremonies. Michael will be leaving St. Aloysius and heading off to Hadley Campus next school year. I really enjoyed attending and am very proud of Michael for all his efforts at school. I wish him the best in his future studies.

Here is Michael accepting his Graduation Diploma and posing with Mrs. Millar, the school principal. And below is a picture of the graduate!

I couldn't help but add this picture that I took of Merrick....Mr. Gorgeous!

Michael did very well today and I'm proud of him. I like the song that the Grade 6's sang for us.

Good Luck Michael! I love you xx/oo
